Matt has directed over a hundred commercials and has worked for some of the top London production companies including Stink, Freedom Films, Serious Pictures and Tomboy Films.
Matt has worked with many international brands including Bells Whiskey, Burger King, the Financial Times, the Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, the Disney Channel and the BBC, and has directed campaigns for many of the UK's top agencies, including M&C Saatchi, Grey, St Lukes, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT.
Matt recently won 7 awards at the Scottish Creatives, including 'best campaign' for the 'Sterling Superstar' campaign and 'best interactive campaign' for 'Scottish Road Safety'.

Matt has directed four short flims and two features. He's written pilots for Channel 4 and scripts for Fox Searchlight, the Film Council, Lionsgate and won the prestigious Film Council's '25 Words or Less' competition.
His first short, 'Round The Block', starred Jason Isaacs and Jimmy Nesbitt. His second, 'Coming Down', a tale of 90's club culture and alienation, became a cult classic. 'Out of The Game', his third, was screened on Film four and Channel Four. 'January 2nd', his first feature, a bittersweet romantic comedy, played at numerous film festivals including Oldenburg, Kiev, Jackson Hole, Toronto and Houston and was distributed internationally by Guerilla Films.
The Brunchers', staring Tom Burke, Natalie Dormer and Rufus Sewell, won the Special Jury Award at the Aspen Shorts Festival. It was officially selected for over twenty film festivals including Palm Springs, Rhode Island, and the Hamptons, and was specially selected by Tribeca for distribution.
In 2014 Matt directed 'The Hoarder', a US set horror thriller film, starring Mischa Barton & Robert Knepper. It premiered at Frightfest, Glasgow, 2015.
